A Rainbow of Kites
a poem by Joyce Meyer
I see a rainbow, kites raise loftily to colossal heights,
Octopi dangle tentacles flailing in the summer breeze,
A pair of red devils, their horns aimed toward the heavens,
Red, white and blue shapes dance rhythmically on puffs of air,
Stunt kites propel against the gusts with daring tricks of feat,
While unskilled children maneuver kites a few feet off the ground,
Night kites twinkle like fireflies gently reaching for the stars,
All rise majestically upward to form a rainbow in the summer sky.
